The UIM XCAT World Championship 2024 commenced with an electrifying start at the International Marine Club in Fujairah from March 1st to 3rd. With a thrilling display of powerboating prowess, this premier event showcased high-speed action and intense competition, captivating enthusiasts worldwide.
The prestigious championship, known for its adrenaline-fueled races and unpredictable twists, saw nine high-performance boats racing at speeds exceeding 200km/h, each equipped with twin 400 horsepower engines. Defending Worlds Champions TEAM GB won the first pole position flipped their boat in the process and damaged it badly, so they could only watch the first race from ashore, which was won by Swecat. Never one to give up they came back in the second race in a boat chartered from Victory Team, ultimately securing a commendable 4th place. The second race was won by formidable VICTORY TEAM, also leading the 2024 World Championship after two races, with Swecat in second and HPI Racing from Naples completing the podium.
