Building on a successful two-year partnership, ICARUS Sports has been appointed as media production and distribution partner for the XTERRA World Tour for the 2019 season.
Combining sports and lifestyle, XTERRA Is the world’s premier off-road triathlon series, providing competition for professionals and amateurs staged in some of the world’s most stunning natural environments. In feats of endurance, athletes compete across open water and off-road terrain, pitching themselves against the elements in feats of endurance and adventure around the globe.
ICARUS Sports will cover twelve races on the XTERRA World Tour, with an on-site media team backed up by the HQ distribution team in Greece. Output produced will include a daily highlights video, social media features throughout the event and post-event the XTERRA lifestyle will be captured in a series of twelve 22 minute documentaries.
The distribution plan will deliver raw footage and the XTERRA documentaries to TV broadcasters, the highlights video to online media, alongside inclusion in The Outdoor Sports Show; reaching a worldwide audience of over 160 countries.
