ICARUS Sports has partnered with the V2 Voomquest World Championship, a powerboating series for the adrenalin junkie, to secure worldwide TV distribution.

Racing in V2 powerboats, the season opener of the Voomquest World Championship will be held at St Paul’s BayMalta25-28 April 2019.

The V2 is a brand new class made entirely of engineered identical Chaudron Malta 27’ boats, bringing to life one-design racing in an affordable and sustainable powerboat. Built on the design of 5-times UIM World Champion Aaron Ciantar, with the precision of the builders at the 8-times UIM Manufacturer World Championship Title, V2 is redefining the world of powerboat racing.

Recognized by the world governing body of powerboating, Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), the V2 Voomquest World Championship has gained a huge following from boat owners, pilot racers, host venues, high octane motorsport fans and the general public around the world.

Appointed as official media distribution partner, ICARUS Sports will distribute highlights from the race series to online media and raw footage to TV news. Highlights will also feature in the acclaimed TV sports shows, ‘Gearing Up’ and ‘The Outdoor Sports Show’, reaching a broadcast footprint of over 160 nations.

“Building on our partnership to promote the Malta circumnavigation world record breaking attempt, we are thrilled to also partner with the Voomquest World Championship series to showcase these amazing powerboat events to a global audience,” commented Manos Kampas, ICARUS Sports’ Sales and Project Manager. “Voomquest is speed junkie heaven!”

Aaron Ciantar CEO Voomquest commented “It’s a pleasure to be working with ICARUS Sports, since there is a huge affinity in terms of what we want to bring to the public. In just one year we have become a UIM world recognized championship, which convinces us that we are building something new and exciting and ICARUS Sports are the right partners to take this to the next level.”
