Extending its motorsports event portfolio, ICARUS Sports has signed an agreement with Desert Baja Israel, an event which pitches drivers against the little explored desert region of Israel.

Run under the auspices of the Israel Motorsport Association, the race unfolds over three days and three stages, routing through the southern part of Israel, from Be’er Sheva to Eilat on the Gulf of Aqaba. The event is also part of the East European Tout Terrain Series (EETTS).

Only vehicles suitable for desert territory and inhospitable terrain compete, with the international entry line-up featuring motorcycles, ATV, SBS, cars, trucks and quad bikes, racing on various divisions giving drivers the choice to use traditional map navigation or GPS. The fastest is not always the winner as the routes offer different levels of difficulty through desert and rocky landscape, over the three day distances of approximately 250km350km and 250km.

“The Israeli desert is waiting for this debut cross country rally event,” commented Nick Dimitropoulos, ICARUS Sports’ Sales Director. “ICARUS Sports is thrilled to be selected as media partner as Israel steps up to embed its mark on the international motor sports scene.”

ICARUS Sports has been appointed to provide a full package of media services, including video production, photo production and worldwide distribution. More specifically, ICARUS Sports will be sending raw footage to TV news while producing daily highlights clips and also a 10 minute wrap up video. Furthermore, the event’s exposure will be further increased by the inclusion of highlights in our dedicated motorsport TV magazine “Gearing Up”.
