ICARUS Sports’ event partnerships continue to grow, with December proving a perfect showcase for our new events.
Fresh new events for December took the ICARUS Sports’ media team to Cape Town, South Africa for The Munga MTB, a crazy, single stage mountain bike race across some of the most relentless terrain south of the equator. Described as the toughest race on earth, this 1,000 kilometre dash takes ultra-endurance riders across the mainly desolate route from Bloemfontein to Wellington in the heat of the South African summer.
Next, we headed to Er Rachidia in southern Morocco for the E-Bike Desert Challenge, a brand new pioneering event featuring riders using electric speed and fat tyres to push their bikes through the desert sands, river oases and labyrinths of deep ditches.
Wrapping up December, we visited the Desaru Coast on the southern tip of Malaysia for round 2 of the KTA Asia Pacific Hydrofoil Series. Top riders from across the world joined Asia’s finest for three days of competition on this 22 km stretch of unspoiled beaches, at a venue renowned for its steady breeze and stunning scenery.
“ICARUS Sports has further enhanced our events portfolio with these events, and in turn we provided outstanding production and a multi-platform broadcast reach around the world,” commented Jason Georgaris, ICARUS Sports’ Chief Executive Officer.
As media partner, ICARUS Sports was appointed to produce footage telling the stories that defined the events and managed worldwide distribution, including TV News, social media and inclusion in Sports TV magazines.
