Created in 1979, the Stock Car Pro Series is the main motor racing series in South America. Throughout its history, almost all Brazilian racing legends took part in its championships, making it a reference of competitiveness for fans all over the world. For 2022 the Galeão GP is set to become the first automobile race held at a commercial airport still in operation in Brazil. Some editions of the Doubles Race had more than ten former F-1 drivers, in addition to stars from Indycar, Nascar, DTM and all the main motorsport championships in the world. Sports icons such as Rubens Barrichello, Nelson Piquet Jr, Tony Kanaan, Ricardo Zonta and Felipe Massa are on the grid for the current season, as well as other renowned names listed as main drivers in the international sports scene.
