ICARUS Sports and UIPM Announce Strategic Three-Year Media Partnership

The Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) is the international federation governing the sport of Modern Pentathlon, and in August 2026 will become the sole governing body for the Obstacle Sports community worldwide. Founded in 1948, the organization works to develop and promote its flagship Olympic sport of pentathlon, which uniquely combines five disciplines: fencing, obstacle racing, swimming, and a climax combining laser shooting and running. It also governs the development multisports Laser Run, Tetrathlon, Triathle and Biathle, as well as the Obstacle Racing disciplines Ninja and OCR. Recognized by the International Olympic Committee and many other umbrella organisations, UIPM plays a key role in organising global competitions and development programmes while ensuring that its evolving pentathlon format delivers maximum value to the Olympic Games.

At ICARUS Sports, we are proud to announce our partnership with the UIPM, having signed a three-year agreement covering 2026–2028 to serve as the official media distribution partner. Through this collaboration, we will manage the global distribution of live feeds and highlights to broadcasters worldwide, while also delivering one VNR per event to national and international TV stations and news agencies, ensuring strong editorial coverage. Additionally, we will provide a dedicated three-minute highlights segment per event through “The Sports Rundown,” which is our in-house TV Show.
