Dear Partners and Friends,
As we arrive at the end of another year, one can only proclaim, ‘what a year’, with the ongoing pandemic situation still impacting our daily lives. Sport obviously did not remain unaffected, with every element of sport feeling its impact. From the athletes, teams, leagues, championships, sponsors, retail, media, and so on and so forth; whether at an international, national, and/or regional level.
Undoubtedly sport is encountering challenges like never before, but obstacles are there to be overcome. As put by Edward Everett Hale, “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress, working together is success”.
Despite the difficulties, throughout 2021 we travelled to 34 countries, were involved with 129 events, and carried out 912 filming days; may it be with the Saudi Sports Company for the F1 Saudi Arabian GP and Dakar Rally, XTERRA, Airspeeder, Extreme E, GC32 Racing Tour, 44Cup, Rolex NYYC Invitational Cup, Oman Sail, UIM XCAT World Championship, Air Race World Championship, Bank of America Chicago Marathon, SportAccord for the International Federation Forum, Haute Route, amongst many others.
We remain headstrong and as mentioned in other instances, ‘capturing the passion and sharing the experience’, is not merely a tag line but rather our mission statement.
We at ICARUS Sports, as dedicated sportswomen and sportsmen know that good health comes above all. Health is above all else because that is the foundation which we can build upon as we slowly depart these strange times.
From all of us at ICARUS Sports, we wish you and your loved ones a clean bill of health and a swift return to normalcy for sporting events. 2022 will surely be a year to remember.
