ICARUS Sports is setting sail across the length and breadth of Italy with the Marina Militare – Nastro Rosa Tour. Set across eight stages in the most ravishing coastal locations Italy has to offer:

  • Genoa (27 – 29 August)
  • Rome/Civitavecchia (31 August – 2 September)
  • Gaeta (3 September)
  • Naples (4 – 5 September)
  • Brindisi (16 -18 September)
  • Bari (19 – 21 September)
  • Marina di Ravenna (23 September)
  • Venice (24 – 26 September)

The tour will feature three thrilling disciplines, representing the most modern equivalents within the world of sailing. That is the Double Mixed Offshore, selected for Paris 2024, representing the fastest growing discipline in sailing, the hair-raising High-Performance DIAM24 trimarans delivering proper windswept action, and finally, Kite Foiling, the new Olympic discipline making its debut at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The Tyrrhenian block will act as the European Double Handed Mixed Offshore Championship, whilst the Adriatic block as a qualifier for the Double Handed Mixed Offshore World Championship, as recognised by World Sailing, the European Sailing Federation, and the Italian Sailing Federation.

ICARUS Sports will be on the ground, or rather sea, and will be responsible for the production and distribution of footage and interviews for TV usage, daily highlights videossponsor videos, and the production of wrap-up documentaries. Lastly, highlights from the event will be included in the monthly TV show, Inside Sailing, meaning guaranteed exposure in more than 160 countries.

Manos Kampas, Sales Director at ICARUS Sports, comments, “Taking us back to basics and showcasing the foremost disciplines of the sport (inshore, offshore & boards) but with a modern tinge; and what better way to showcase these three disciplines by pitching them up against the stunning backdrops of the beautiful shores of Italy. This one is definitely one to get excited about!
