The inaugural edition of Thailand by UTMB ended successfully on Sunday 1st November 2020. Although we find ourselves in a particularly challenging period in the world, Thailand by UTMB, hosted by Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) showed its potential to overcome all the uncertain circumstances. Both successfully and safely, runners were back on the track and enjoyed an authentic trail running experience.
More than 1,500 runners headed to the rooftop of Doi Inthanon, a magnificent national park and the highest mountain in Thailand; an 80-kilometre race course at 4,000-meter elevation. The participants ran through dense forests, whilst also passing through several picturesque villages and local attractions.
ICARUS Sports has been assigned as the official media partner for the 2020 and 2021 Thailand by UTMB and will be responsible for online media distribution, including featuring highlights from the event in the monthly TV show, The Outdoor Sports Show, meaning guaranteed international exposure in more than 160 countries.
