Majestic Algarve hosted once again the Algarve Bike Challenge, whose 8th edition welcomed 1100 riders from 16 countries for a total of three action-packed days.

A night prologue in the picturesque historic center of Tavira signaled the beginning of what it would be an exceptional off-road cycling weekend. A crowd of elated professional and rookie mountain-bikers tested their endurance by climbing Algarve’s steep hills during demanding Stages 2 and 3.

Apart from the high level of competitiveness among the riders and the total distance of 160 kilometers and 4000 meters of climbing they had to cover, the athletes had the chance to take in the beautiful scenery the south Portugal has to offer.

ICARUS Sports was there to caption all the powerful moments of the Algarve Bike Challenge by providing international media coverage and online distribution.

“Algarve’s trails were once again overflowed by the blast of energy Algarve Bike Challenge always brings”, commented Panagiotis Pachtas, Chief Operating Officer at ICARUS Sports. “Highlights of this successful event will be included in our TV magazine, the Outdoor Sports Show, one of the world’s top action TV shows, as well as in a ten-minute documentary”.
