Managing both the production and worldwide distribution for the 12-episode XTERRA Adventures television series, ICARUS Sports has secured broadcast exposure in more than 177 countries globally, including some of the biggest and most popular TV Channels. Broadcast products include TV news and highlights from the 2019 XTERRA European Tour, XTERRA Pan American Tour, XTERRA Asia-Pacific Tour, and the concluding event of the year, the XTERRA World Championship, generated 71 news features broadcast.
“ICARUS Sports’ international distribution team took it to another level this year reaching new grounds. Covering events in new locations such as Kunming, China, Beaver Creek, Colorado in the U.S., Prachatice in the Czech Republic and Tapalpa, Mexico also added significant value for the tour,” explained Jason Georgaris, ICARUS Sports’ Chief Executive Officer.
For one more season, highlights from the XTERRA events were also included in ICARUS Sports’ own produced TV Shows, including The Outdoor Sports Show (9 episodes).
“Our new approach towards video production this season has generated massive enthusiasm from broadcasters and engaged a whole new raft of fans,” continued Georgaris. “Focusing mostly on the personal stories behind the triumph, covering both amateur and elite athletes, and keeping a lifestyle format to our episodes, we managed a household reach of 1.9 billion.”
