Continuing a long-standing partnership with the International Dragon Class, ICARUS Sports is in Cannes, France for the Dragon Grand Prix de Cannes, 2-6 April, marking the launch event of the 2019 Dragon European Grade 1 circuit.
ICARUS Sports is appointed to manage production and distribution services, including daily highlights videos and a post-event 10 minute documentary. The distribution market extends to over 160 nations, including raw footage to TV news, online media distribution, 3rd party programming and of course coverage in our Inside Sailing TV show.
The Dragon enjoys one of the largest regattas circuits in the world and, as always, the Dragon Grand Prix de Cannes on France’s Cote d’Azure features world class competition across the 51 boat fleet. Staged against the spectacular Iles de Lerins and Alpes Maritimes, the leaderboard has been fiercely fought between the numerous big names contesting the professional and corinthian divisions.
“Dragon Class racing always attracts a high take-up via TV broadcast and online, and ICARUS Sports is delighted to be presenting all the highlights from the Dragon Grand Prix de Cannes,” commented Manos Kampas, ICARUS Sports Sales and Project Manager. “We have established a great relationship with the Dragon Class, and are proud to be media partner for this year’s circuit. The Dragon Class has established a global recognition and pedigree and we are honoured to communicate the race track and onshore stories to an international audience.”
