IRONMAN 70.3 Bintan took place on 19 August 2018 on the exotic island of Bintan in Indonesia, located on the south-eastern doorstep of Singapore. Bintan is the epitome of paradise, with endless beaches, lush tropical vegetation and a race course that takes a spectacular journey around the stunning island. Kicking off the swim in crystal clear waters at Lagoi Bay, athletes then transitioned to scenic wide roads along a mix of flat and hilly terrain for the bike stage, wrapping up with the run to claim their Ironman ticket.
Ranked as Asia’s BEST overall long course triathlon, BEST triathlon run course and BEST family-friendly race by AsiaTri, the massive popularity of Indofood IRONMAN 70.3 Bintan attracted 1,300 Asian and international athletes, with tons of crowd support along the route.
