Tokyo, Japan – The 2025 Summer Deaflympics have now concluded in Tokyo, marking a milestone 100 years since the Games first began and reaffirming their vital role as the world’s premier stage for Deaf athletes. Beyond competition, the Deaflympics stand as a global celebration of culture, identity, and equal access to sport — a reminder of the power of inclusive international events to unite communities across languages and borders. A special mention goes to the Greek team, whose participation embodied this spirit, and to our own crew, who accompanied them to capture and distribute footage from the Games.

ICARUS Sports, as the media production partner of the Hellenic Sports Federation of the Deaf (EOAK) for their participation in the 2025 Deaflympics, played a comprehensive role in capturing and communicating the Greek delegation’s presence in Tokyo. We produced extensive raw footage with interviews, edited highlight packages, and dynamic social media reels that kept audiences engaged throughout the Games. In parallel, we managed the distribution of raw material to broadcasters and delivered polished highlights for digital platforms. Looking ahead, we are preparing a full recap documentary that will also be distributed through our channels, ensuring that the story and impact of EOAK’s Deaflympics journey continue to reach audiences long after the closing ceremony.

The Deaflympics once again highlighted the power of sport to elevate voices and break barriers, and we are truly proud of the Greek team for representing our country with dedication, dignity, and heart.

Giannis Vagiakakos, Business Development Manager at ICARUS Sports proudly stated: ”Supporting the Greek delegation and helping share their journey with audiences back home reflects exactly what we stand for as a company, storytelling with purpose, authenticity, and respect. We are proud of the trust EOAK placed in us and even prouder of the athletes who inspired us every step of the way.
