The Mediterranean Games are a major international multi-sport event held every four years, bringing together athletes from countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea to promote competition, friendship, and cultural exchange. The upcoming 20th edition, officially known as the 2026 Mediterranean Games, will take place in Taranto from 21 August to 3 September 2026, featuring thousands of athletes competing across numerous sports. This edition is expected to showcase both traditional and modern disciplines while highlighting the region’s culture and leaving a lasting legacy through new infrastructure and international visibility.

ICARUS Sports has entered into a new partnership with the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games (ICMG) to produce and distribute a docuseries in the lead-up to the 20th Mediterranean Games in Taranto. The collaboration includes the production of six 26-minute documentaries and seven 1-minute teasers, along with additional social media reels to engage audiences worldwide. Starting in April, the documentaries will be distributed to broadcasters, while 18 minutes of highlights and interviews will also be featured within ICARUS Sports’ global TV series, helping build anticipation and visibility for the Games.

Audiences can look forward to an engaging docuseries that brings them closer to the athletes and stories behind the Mediterranean Games.

Panos Marinopoulos, Partner at ICARUS Sports proudly stated: ”This new partnership is an exciting opportunity to showcase the unique stories and spirit of the Mediterranean Games. We’re proud to bring audiences closer to the athletes and their journey to Taranto through compelling and authentic storytelling.
