The Championship, Šamorín – The Championship, a premier middle-distance triathlon event hosted by Challenge Family, took place on May 17–18, 2025, at the X-Bionic Sphere sports complex in Šamorín, Slovakia. The iconic venue, renowned as Slovakia’s Olympic training center, provided a world-class backdrop for the competition. Athletes competed in a 1.9 km swim90 km bike ride, and 21.1 km run, with the professional race offering a €100,000 prize purse. Over 2,000 participants from 52 countries joined the weekend’s festivities, including sprint, standard, and junior races, as well as a kids’ run. Fans had the chance to witness top-tier performances from athletes like India Lee, Lucy Buckingham, and Daniel Baekkegard . The Championship continues to be a highlight on the triathlon calendar, celebrated for its challenging course and vibrant atmosphere.
