Graduated with an Msc in Management, following a joined BSc and MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Before founding ICARUS Sports in 2008, he worked as a project manager in the Energy Sector. As one of the founding partners at ICARUS Sports, he defines the company's mission, vision, and overall strategy, ensuring alignment with short-term and long-term goals.
Lawrence Frankopan
Partner
In 2022, Lawrence became a shareholder in ICARUS Sports. Lawrence spent 10 years
working at the conglomerate sports agency IMG. After delivering globally for IMG across multiple sports, he was headhunted by Lagardere. Being passionate about creating a world class, bespoke offering for clients, he set up the boutique sports management agency StarWing Sports in 2011. He currently leads the team at StarWing Sports as CEO.
Panos Marinopoulos

Graduated from Imperial College Business School with an MSc in Management, following a joint BSc and MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Before joining ICARUS Sports in 2010, Panos was an Associate in London for LEK Consulting, a leading consultancy in the field of Business Strategy. As one of the founding partners at ICARUS Sports, Panos is now supporting Business Development activities.
Panos Pachtas
Chief Operating Officer
Graduated from Panteion University | Greece. Before joining ICARUS Sports in 2011, Panos was working as a logistics supervisor for the family business Pachtas Bros P.C. in the textile industry. He has been with ICARUS Sports since the very beginning. As a C.O.O. he manages the business line of TV production and day to day ICARUS Sports operations.
Ioannis Stefanidis
Finance Director
Ioannis Stefanidis joined the company in 2021 as the Finance Director and leads the financial activities, financial controlling, planning & analysis, reporting and treasury for ICARUS Sports. Ioannis holds degrees in the fields of Finance, whilst has more than 15 years of experience in financial related positions.
Marianna Stasinopoulou
HR Manager
Graduated from Middlesex University Business School (in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development), with an MA in Human Resources Management following a BA in European Languages, Culture and Society from Goldsmiths College University of London. Before joining ICARUS Sports in 2022, Marianna worked for more than 15 years in Human Resources positions in Miele Hellas and Teleperformance. Currently in ICARUS Sports, she holds the role of HR Manager.
Christoph Stadler
Business Development Manager
After completing his MSc in business administration at Vienna University of Business and Economics, Christoph started of as an entrepreneur, organizing events, managing the marketing of the Austrian Ice Hockey League and the sports affairs of the largest bank in the country. A marketing professional with over 25 years of experience working with B2C & B2B brands, possessing a proven track record across various industries including sports marketing, apparel, and property. Sports have dominated most of his professional career and his role as business development manager is ideal to build on that experience, developing new concepts and business lines in the perfect environment ICARUS Sports provides.
John Toutountzis
Media Sales Manager
Graduated from the University of East Anglia with an MA Politics, following a BA Media Studies. After his studies he held a managerial position in the event management industry. Having lived in the United Kingdom for nine years, he returned to Greece where he joined ICARUS Sports, taking up the role of Media Distribution Manager.
Paris Michel
Media Sales Manager
Media and communications professional with international experience across public relations, press office operations, and event management. Holds an MA in International Communications and Public Relations from Paris 8 University, and a BA in Journalism from the University of Wolverhampton. Having lived and worked in both Paris and London, Paris now serves as Media Sales Manager.
Nikos Koutroupis
Business Development Manager
Nikos Koutroupis holds an MSc in Sports and Recreation Management from the University of Sheffield, following a BSc in Business Administration – Marketing Management from Deree College - The American College of Greece. Passionate about football, he worked for Panionios FC in various roles and was named a voting member of the Board of Directors. Before joining ICARUS Sports, he freelanced as a FIFA Licensed Football Agent.
Lili Tang
Sales & Account Manager, China
Lili graduated from a joint program with MIT and Fudan University in China with a degree of IMBA. She worked as Sales & Account Manager for Asia Pacific in ICARUS Sports. Before Joining ICARUS Sports, she worked for about ten years in global Industry-leading multinational companies in Shanghai with the roles of business development, account management and sales management. Her past experience will help to bring ICARUS Sports's international experiences and powerful spirit to sports events both in China and other countries in Asia Pacific.
Floor Ten Dam
Business Development Manager
Floor ten Dam brings over 15 years of diverse experience from prominent international companies. Throughout her career, she has held key roles as a Sales Trainer, Quality Assurance Analyst, and Sales Supervisor. Her specialization extends to Project Management and Data Analytics, reflecting a skill set tailored for strategic business development. This background equips her along with her expertise to contribute to ICARUS Sports and drive successful initiatives in the dynamic field of sports events.
Konstantinos Papadas
Head of Projects
During his studies in Computer Science and Information Systems, Konstantinos joined ICARUS Sports in 2015, wishing to combine his passion for sailing and video production. Having his filming and organizational skills evolve, he succeeded in taking up the position of Project Manager, and the role of TV Shows Executive Producer; whilst promoting his process-oriented thinking. Moving forward he got involved with managing the operations team alongside the COO, leading into taking up the role of managing ICARUS Sports' filming crews all over the world, both before and during production, as Head of Projects.
Katya Chrysafi
Chief Editor
Having studied Audio and Visual Arts Studies at the Ionian University, Katya joined ICARUS Sports in early 2017. Before that, Katya was involved in the film industry as an Assistant Director. Having enhanced her creative and storytelling skills, Katya has taken up the role of Chief Editor. An active sportswoman, she spends her free time climbing and hiking any mountain she can find.
Dimitris Athanaselos
Creative Director
Having graduated from the Department of Cultural Technology & Communication, Dimitris joined ICARUS Sports as a Video Editor in 2015. Following his hard work and talent, he was given the opportunity to take up the role of Creative Director, guiding his teammates to create exciting content, making every assignment better than the last.
Ioannis Theofilis
Project Manager & Executive Producer
During his studies in Communications & Mass Media, Ioannis got involved in Sports Journalism at the age of 19. After six years of working as a Sports Editor in one of Greece’s leading sports websites (sdna.gr) and having served as a Content Editor for the Greek section of FIBA’s Basketball Champions League website, he joined ICARUS Sports in 2021. He is now responsible for the scriptwriting process of our TV Shows & documentaries and the storyboards’ preparation as well.
Konstantinos Melemenis
Project Manager & Executive Producer
Konstantinos has over 20 years of experience and excels in project management and team leadership. With a background in cinema, production, and operations management, as well as a BSc in Psychology from the University of East London, he brings a unique perspective to ICARUS Sports, driving project success through effective communication and collaboration.
Georgia Dimitroula
Media Sales Manager
Graduated with a Master’s degree in Communication & Media Studies from Panteion University, after completing her Bachelor’s in the same field at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Following her academic journey, she entered the media industry, building experience in press office operations, social media management, and public relations. Driven by a strong interest in both media and sports, she joined ICARUS Sports at the end of 2023 and currently holds the position of Media Sales Manager.
Giannis Vagiakakos
Business Development Manager
Giannis holds an MBA from the University of Piraeus and a Bachelor's in Sports Management from the University of the Peloponnese. Before joining ICARUS Sports in 2024, he worked as a Commercial Manager at Dialectica, managing a diverse portfolio of clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. At ICARUS Sports, he is responsible for driving international Business Development efforts, securing strategic sponsorships, and building partnerships with federations, major events, and sponsors. Giannis brings a strong background in account management, revenue growth, and team leadership, along with global experience across the sports and consulting industries.

His professional path reflects a strong focus on growth, innovation, and high performance. He thrives in fast-paced environments where strategic thinking and collaboration are essential. For Sotiris, sports is not just a field—it’s a driving force.
George Charalampidis
Business Development Manager
George holds a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Administrative Science, and is a registered member of the Administrative Chamber of Greece (DEE), where he actively contributes to discussions on the synchronization of the public sector. With a strong academic grounding in economic and administrative sciences, he began his career in the startup ecosystem as a Sales Manager, specializing in B2B sales with a focus on niche markets. He later joined ICARUS Sports as a Business Development Manager, where he applies his strategic and analytical expertise to enhance the company’s global media outreach.
Konstantina Karagianni
Media Distribution Coordinator
Konstantina holds a degree in Management Science and Technology, but her interests and background comes form different sectors. In her professional experience, she combines structure with creativity, being able to handle the multilateral role of the Media Distribution Associate. Communication is a key aspect of her, and she is working towards the company’s extroversion. As a sports and fitness enthusiast, she is an amateur basketball player, a yoga teacher and fond of trekking in nature.
