The Olympus MarathonGreece’s premier international mountain running event, proudly announces its 20th anniversary. Set to take place from June 28-30, 2024, this iconic event will once again unfold on the legendary Mount Olympus, the mythological home of the Greek gods. The highlights will be shared by ICARUS Sports all over the world through its series ”The Outdoor Sports Show”, so no one will miss the action from this spectacular race. 

Over 1650 athletes from 33 countries, including 200 international participants, will compete. Notable Greek athletes like Dimitris Theodorakakos and Dean Karnazes, an American ultramarathoner of Greek descent, will also participate. Great runners like Rota Donatello (ITA), Guillon Antoine (FRA), Nikolov Kiril (BUG) will compete as the race has a great interest among the best and most competitive runners of the world. The Olympus Marathon includes 5 races, with the most demanding of all the ultramarathon of the 71km with a total ascent of 5550 m. ICARUS Sports will support and contribute to the marathon’s success as its crew will capture all the moments of action and share the experience worldwide. Breathtaking shots, world-class runners and the spirit of the Greek ancient Gods promise an unforgettable weekend of mountain running, celebrating two decades of the Olympus Marathon on the sacred slopes of Mount Olympus!
