As the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is around the corner, 1000 athletes are fighting for the last qualifying positions, so the Last Chance Regatta is the largest Olympic qualifier in the cycle outside of the 2023 Sailing World Championships.

Already the Last Chance Regatta has offered us some great action, as we were all anticipating. From the very first day, Switzerland’s athlete Elena Lengwiler, who is considered the most improved athlete, was in the top spot. The top performances didn’t stop the first day though.

Team USA windsurfer Noah Lyons, who has been competitive from the first day, put himself on course for a place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after day two of the Last Chance Regatta. The top performances are also in the women’s windsurfing, where Estonia’s Ingrid Puusta will do her best to qualify for third time in the Olympic Games.

The Last Chance Regatta delivers in terms of action, adrenaline and drama. But there is another component as well. Family tradition. Brazilian Marco Grael, who is the son of the five-time Olympic medalist Torben Grael and brother of two-time Olympic champion Martine Grael could put his name on the qualification list as he has already delivered great results.. The Last Chance Regatta will finish on the 27th of April.
