In the pursuit of unique sporting disciplines, ICARUS Sports is packing its equipment and lands in Abu Dhabi to experience the WingFoil Racing World Cup!
The WingFoil is a wind-powered water sports discipline fusing kitesurfing and windsurfing. The WingFoil Racing World Cup series, has been awarded Special Event status from World Sailing. Also, this will be the first event of this type held in the UAE.
The event will take place from the 15th to 18th of March on Al Mirfa Beach, one of the best watersports venues in the United Arab Emirates.
Reigning World Champions Paula Novotná (CZE) and Mathis Ghio (FRA) are motivated to defend their titles. Although with the participation of 23 local and international athletes from 10 countries and 4 continents, the competition seems tough!
Once more through windy and salty situations, ICARUS Sports is responsible for the production and distribution of engaging content for TV news, and highlight videos for digital platforms. Also for the production of short features for social media. Lastly, highlights from the venues will be included in the monthly TV show, Inside Sailing. This means guaranteed exposure in more than 160 countries.
