Extending ICARUS Sports affinity for unique motorsport events, the crew teamed-up with the amazing King of the Hammers.
Founded in 2007 and taking place each February on Means Dry Lake in Johnson Valley, California, King of the Hammers is an epic off-road race, combining desert racing and extreme rock crawling.
The temporary settlement of Hammertown gathers each year some 500+ teams and 80.000 spectators during the 9-day race. Putting both racer and machine to the challenge, the event is considered one of the most intense and exciting off-road races in the world.
ICARUS Sports, wasn’t intimidated by the dusty, rocky tracks and was responsible for the distribution of material to media outlets and TV agencies for TV news usage.
Christoph Stadler, Business Development Manager at ICARUS Sports, commented, ”We are delighted to be working with King of the Hammers to provide media and motorsport fans around the world with content of this unique off-road race. Located in one of the most inhospitable places in the world, in the middle of the Californian desert, with a race course that looks impossible to master, King of the Hammers brings huge crowds to Hammertown, which only comes to life once per year to host this amazing race, the brave drivers and petrolheads from every corner of the world!”
