2020 has put us all to the test, Shanghai, one of the biggest cosmopolitan cities in the world, was no exception. However, owing to the perseverance and determination of the event organizers, the Shanghai Marathon took place successfully on November 29th.
This is the first year for the Shanghai Marathon being listed as a Platinum Label event by IAAF, along with marking its 25th anniversary. To realize its promise to the running community and ensure the safety of all those who were involved in the event, the organizer applied stringent testing and safety controls. Many runners shared that they were over the moon for having the opportunity to compete this year, and it surely was a memorable one.
ICARUS Sports has been working side by side with the Shanghai Marathon for many years. This year, ICARUS Sports was responsible for the distribution of footage for TV usage and online media distribution. In addition, highlights from the event will be included in our monthly TV show, The Outdoor Sports Show, meaning guaranteed international exposure in more than 160 countries.
