ICARUS Sports has secured a landmark partnership with the UIM XCAT World Championship (property of WPM LLC), one of the most spectacular powerboat racing series in the world. Powered by 2 Mercury Racing 400ROS outboard engines producing a whopping 400hp each and with speeds topping 200km/h, these racing catamarans are the finest expression of powerboat racing at an international level. The XCAT is considered one of the most thrilling disciplines within the extreme water sports realm and is offshore powerboat racing at its best.

With a multitude of participating nations, fleets of more than a dozen boats, spectacular 6.5km racecourse laps, and exciting venues in Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and Asia, the circuit truly is global adrenaline-fueled entertainment. These race boats were designed as a more approachable, economical, safe, and globally entertaining form than any other powerboat event, hitting the ground running and proving to be an instant success.

Jason Georgaris, CEO at ICARUS Sports comments: “ICARUS Sports is delighted to team up with the UIM XCAT World Championship. The XCATS are the hottest asset in powerboat racing today and the perfect fit for ICARUS Sports’ established action sports line up. We are very excited about the cooperation with UIM and XCAT for the years to come and cannot wait for an action-packed season with the full racing calendar being announced shortly.”
